Scouts
Scouts are the oldest section of the group, for young people aged 10½ to 14, who are ready for bigger challenges and a taste of independence. The Scout programme focuses on developing skills for life through exciting outdoor activities, teamwork, and leadership opportunities.
Badges & Awards
Scouts can earn a wide range of proficiency badges, from "Paddlesports" and "Hillwalker" to "Fire Safety" and "Master at Arms," covering a huge variety of hobbies and skills. They work towards a number of Challenge Awards, which are designed to push them to develop their skills and knowledge in key areas. The pinnacle for any Scout is the Chief Scout's Gold Award, the highest award in this section, which is a significant achievement that demonstrates commitment, perseverance, and a mastery of essential scouting skills.
